At that time you will be issued your first time login Access ID and PIN information. You will need to use this first time login page again when you are issued your initial Access ID and PIN. Online Banking Service Agreement and Disclosure Statement

Terms and Conditions


The following information is provided in addition to your Depository Agreement, Electronic Funds Transfer Disclosure Statement and your Truth in Savings Disclosures. All of these agreements were given to you when you opened your account. You agree these remain in effect and are binding on all online transactions. You should print and keep a copy of this agreement for future reference.

By selecting the "Accept" button below you are (1) acknowledging your receipt of the information listed below (2) agreeing that any contract you enter into with Bank of Erath for the provision of Online Banking Services, may be in electronic form, and (3) agreeing that certain information that may be delivered in connection with the services, either now or in the future, may be in electronic form.


It is recommended that you use Microsoft Internet Explorer 9.0, 32 bit or higher for optimal performance; Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apples Safari 6+ and a 128-bit strong encryption web browser to access service. To learn about your browser's current encryption level please do the following:

Microsoft Internet Explorer users: Open Internet Explorer, click "help", select "About Internet Explorer", look at the "Cipher Strength", If the cipher strength is anything lower than 128-bit, you will need to upgrade your browser before using Bank of Erath Online Banking.


You agree that Bank of Erath is not responsible for any electronic virus that you may encounter using Online Banking. Routinely scan your PC and diskette using any reliable virus protection product to detect and remove any viruses found.


The services are generally available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, however at certain times, some or all of our services may not be available due to system maintenance, upgrade periods or reasons beyond Bank of Erath's control. Bank of Erath does not warrant that the services will be available at all times. Our business days are Monday through Friday except for holidays. Transfers made after 6:00p.m. CST will be processed on the next business day. Transactions on federal or banking holidays will be processed on the next business day.


The safety of our customers' account and account information is of paramount importance to Bank of Erath. We go through great lengths to protect confidentiality and security of your account and we urge you to do the same. You agree not to allow anyone to gain access to the services or to let anyone know your password used with these online banking services. You also agree to assume responsibility for all transactions you or your authorized representative make using online banking. You authorize us to debit your designated account(s) for any transaction completed with online banking. You agree that we may comply with transfer instructions entered by any person using your authorized access code and password, regardless of the restrictions placed at the account level, i.e. two signatures required, minor withdrawals, etc…

If you allow another person to use online banking or give them your access code and password, you are responsible for transfers or advances made from the deposit and loan accounts linked to your online applications even if that person exceeds your authorization. Customers who share their user Access ID and Passwords are giving up the full benefits of our security measures and legal protections to which they may be entitled. No Bank of Erath representative will ever call and ask for your access ID or user password.


Funds must be available in the account from which you wish to transfer funds on the date you enter the transaction. If your account does not have sufficient funds to complete a transfer, the transfer will not be completed.


In addition to viewing account information, you may use online banking to conduct the following transactions:

  • Transfer funds among your linked checking, savings and payments to loan accounts
  • Obtain Balance Information on eligible accounts
  • Review transactions on eligible accounts
  • Stop Payment Requests, a fee may be charged for this service
  • Online bill payment, a fee may be charged for this service
  • Print yourself an interim statement listing deposits and withdrawals
  • Because regulations require Bank of Erath to limit pre-authorized transfers savings passbook account transfers can make no more than six (6) transfers per statement period by a pre-authorized, automatic transfer, telephone or online banking transfers
  • Money Market Accounts can make no more than six (6) transfers per statement period by pre-authorized, automatic transfer, telephone or online banking transfer

New services may be introduced on online banking from time to time. Bank of Erath will notify you of the existence of these new services. By using these services when they become available, you agree to be bound by the rules that will be made available to you concerning these services.


You will continue to receive your regular account statement either monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually depending on the type of account. If your statement shows transfers that you did not make, notify Bank of Erath immediately at 337-937-5816, 337-893-3761, 337-685-2310 or write a letter to:

If you do not notify Bank of Erath within sixty (60) days after the statement was mailed to you, you may not recover any money lost after the sixty (60) days which would not have been lost if Bank of Erath had been notified in time.


You cannot cancel your transfer after it has been entered into the online banking system and the information has been transmitted to us. You can correct information concerning a transfer before you send the information, and you can use online banking to reverse a transaction after it has been made.


Bank of Erath does not currently charge a fee for setting up, maintaining or using our online banking service. There will be a monthly charge for electronic bill payments, please view Services, Services and Fees then scroll down to Internet Banking and Online Bill Payment for a current list of fees. Account research, overdraft charges, non-sufficient fund charges and stop payment order fees or any other fee charge may be assessed at the rate published in the Bank of Erath services and fees schedule and deducted from your account at Bank of Erath.


In the event you wish to discontinue using Bank of Erath's Online Banking, contact Bank of Erath in writing at Bank of Erath, P.O. Drawer B, Erath, LA 70533, Bank of Erath Abbeville Branch P.O. Box 308, Abbeville, LA 70511-0308 or Bank of Erath Delcambre Branch P.O. Box 6, Delcambre, LA 70528. We may at any time, for any reason, terminate your online banking service. If you do not use your online banking access for 90 days, your account access may be discontinued until you contact us.


In case of error or questions, if you believe your account access code and/or password have become known by an unauthorized person, if you forgot your account access code and/or password or if someone has transferred funds without your permission you may call Bank of Erath at 337-937-5816, 337-893-3761, 337-685-2310 or write a letter and send it to:

We must hear from you at the specified telephone number or address no later than sixty (60) calendar days after we sent you the first statement on which the problem or error appeared. We will need the following information:

  • Your name and account number
  • A description of the error or the transfer in question, and an explanation concerning why you believe it is an error or need more information
  • The dollar amount of the suspected error
  • The date on which it occurred

If the report is made orally, we may require that you send the complaint or question in writing within ten (10) business days from your initial contact. We will notify you with the results of the investigation within ten (10) business days after you contact us and will correct any error promptly. If more time is needed, however, we may, at our sole discretion, take up to forty-five (45) calendar days to investigate a complaint or question. If this occurs, we will credit your account within ten (10) business days for the amount you think is in error. This will allow you to use the money during the time it takes us to complete our investigation. If your complaint or question is not received in writing within ten (10) business days from your original contact, we may not credit your account until the investigation is complete. If we determine that no error occurred we will notify you and you may request copied of the documents that were used in the investigation pertaining to your account.

You agree that Bank of Erath may respond to you by e-mail with regard to any claim of unauthorized electronic fund transfer related to any services. Any such electronic mail sent to you by Bank of Erath shall be considered received within three (3) business days of the date sent by Bank of Erath, regardless of whether or not you sign on to the service within that time frame.


This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana and applicable federal law(s).


Customer, in consideration of being allowed access to these services, agrees to indemnify and hold Bank of Erath harmless for any losses or damages resulting from the use of online banking and/or electronic bill payment services.

In addition to this agreement, you agree to be bound by and comply with the requirements of the agreements applicable to each of your Bank of Erath online banking accounts. Your use of the online banking service is your acknowledgement that you have received this agreement and intend to be bound by it. You should review other disclosures received by you when you opened your account at Bank of Erath, including the charges that may be imposed for electronic funds transfers or other fees listed in the banking services and fee schedules. The terms and conditions are subject to change. Bank of Erath will notify you in writing regarding these changes at least thirty (30) days in advance of the effective day of these changes. By accessing service, you hereby acknowledge that you will be entering a protected website, which may be used only for authorized purposes. Any unauthorized use may be a violation of state and or federal law and may be prosecuted to the fullest extent allowed by law. Bank of Erath may monitor and audit usage of the system, and all persons are hereby notified that use of services are subject to the computer fraud and abuse act of 1986.
